Every Season....

These are the words to one of my favorite songs. It is called Every Season by Nichole Nordman.

Every evening sky, an invitation
To trace the patterned stars
And early in July, a celebration
For freedom that is ours
And I notice You
In children’s games
In those who watch them from the shade
Every drop of sun is full of fun and wonder
You are summer

And even when the trees have just surrendered
To the harvest time
Forfeiting their leaves in late September

Summer, autumn, winter, spring

wow.. what powerful words! "And even when the tree's have just surrendered"," And even now in death you OPEN doors,". Man do you know what this means? Even when we surrender to sin, even when we think we've lost it all, even when we feel Christ has given up on us, EVEN then, the Lord is re-creating us and making us NEW.

Lord, thank you for today. Thank you for the freedom to follow your heart, and the freedom to love and praise your name. I know I have messed up. I know there have been times when I didn't do what you wanted me to do. So many times I am so far off track I wonder how I can ever get back. But you have taught me differently today. Today Lord God, you showed me no matter how far off road I have become,no matter what sin I have dragged you through, that you are a God of 1st,2nd,3rd,and a million chances. You make sure I come back to where I belong. I surrender my heart to you. I know that you are my safety net in every situation. Thank you Lord for re-creating me and for making me whole in you. In Jesus precious and Holy name I pray.- Amen
